With Samsung Galaxy S10 featuring a built-in crypto wallet, Samsung became the first major smartphone brand to bring such a feature for the mainstream users. The wallet is one of the key highlights of the smartphone and has got the markets really excited. Days after the release, we now have more information on this cryptocurrency wallet. Let us take a closer look:

Cryptocurrencies Supported by Samsung’s Cryptocurrency Wallet

Earlier, leaked screenshots had indicated that Bitcoin and Ethereum would be the two cryptocurrencies that would get the initial support. However, more details about the wallet are now out - and more tokens have been named by Samsung.

Samsung’s crypto wallet would feature support for Bitcoin and Ethereum, as well as COSMEE token (COSM) and Enjin’s token (ENJ). Enjin is the platform that powers this cryptocurrency wallet on the Samsung Galaxy S10. This information comes officially via Samsung.

Following this update, T-Store introduced the official Samsung Blockchain Keystore. Here, it was revealed that the Samsung Galaxy S10 cryptocurrency wallet will feature support for all ERC-20 tokens An image featuring the Basic Attention Token (BAT) and Enjin Coin (ENJ) was also seen in the screenshots that were officially shared. Full support for ERC-20 tokens might not be available immediately after the launch of the phone but is expected to arrive in a very short time. Reports from Coindesk Korea point out:

Based on the fact that the Samsung Blockchain Keystore tutorial features Bitcoin, Ethereum, and an add new token button, it is likely that Samsung will allow users to directly add ERC20 tokens onto the native crypto wallet.

Samsung’s Partners: COSMEE and Enjin

COSMEE is the first partner dApp that has been chosen by Samsung. It is basically a decentralized application which focuses on mobile beauty. The COSM tokens are the native tokens of COSMEE which can be used to transact with the app. More names such as these are to be added to the list soon as Samsung ties up with more dApp partners.

Another major name on the list is that of Enjin Wallet, which is a South Korean cryptocurrency startup. Apart from being pre-installed in the Samsung Galaxy S10, the Enjin Wallet is also available to download and use on the iOS App Store and the Android Google Play Store.
