Craig White Again Claims to be Satoshi Nakamoto, Gets Blasted by Another Man Claiming the Same!

Feb 26 2019

One of the biggest mysteries of the world of cryptocurrencies is the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto. The man who created Bitcoins - and personally holds a large chunk of the currencies - has managed to remain anonymous for over a decade! In a time where privacy has become quite limited, Satoshi Nakamoto has managed to be fairly successful! However, in his absence, a number of fake Satoshis have appeared. Leading the charge here is Craig Wright.

Craig Wright, the CEO of Nchain, has claimed on a number of occasions, that he is in fact the real Satoshi Nakamoto. Only a handful of people in the crypto-community believe in this. However, Wright continues to double down on his claims every now and then. In his latest blog post, Craig Wright writes about his (Satoshi Nakamoto’s) experience of creating Bitcoin.

Wright has mentioned “I was Satoshi” a number of times in the story. However, all his blog post did was that it gave rise to a new man claiming to be Satoshi Nakamoto. Interestingly, across all his blog posts where he has claimed to be Satoshi Nakamoto, Wright has refused to provide any evidence, stating that he does not need to do so. This new person who has commented on his Medium blog writes:

“Liar — You, Dr. Craig Wright never had any digital key to sign, and no single proof of his claims — He could not even transact one bitcoin from my whale wallet[…]He did create an altcoin, BSV, then begged to convert bitcoin core into his crapcoin — Come on, you have nothing. You do not even know how I composed the genesis block and what I coded inside additionally.”

A New Satoshi?

While it is hard to believe that either of the two men claiming to be the real Satoshi Nakamoto are giving us the complete version of the truth, the new claimant to the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto says that he will reveal his true self in seven years. Moreover, he says that he would then reveal the contents of the Genesis block as well.

This new Satoshi also claims to hold the notary depot of his scientific papers (before the publication date on the internet). He also left his Twitter handle: @RealSatoshiN. Furthermore, the new Satoshi also left PGP key 0x5EC948A1 in the comments. The data in the key has some interesting dates and email addresses linked to it.

Two interesting dates that appear in that PGP Key are 30th October, 2008 (the day before Bitcoin Whitepaper came out) and January 3, 2009 (the date BTC went live). Over the years there have been various speculations as to who Nakamoto may really be. The writer of a book on Bitcoins claims to be Satoshi. Then there’s the brother of Pablo Escobar who claims to have personally met Mr Nakamoto! Finally, there is also the question of - ‘does CIA know Satoshi Nakamoto’s real identity?’

As the mystery around his identity continues to grow, will the real Satoshi Nakamoto please stand up? Stay tuned with us at Cryptoground for all the latest news stories and updates from the world of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.
